Commercial Director (m/f)
Independently lead sales across the whole Montenegrin market — from strategic planning to fieldwork.
- Functional area
- Commercial
- Location
- Podgorica, Montenegro
- Application deadline
- By 1 July 2026.
Inter Pharm is a Montenegrin distributor of medical devices and pharmaceuticals, founded in 2015. We represent over 25 global manufacturers across ten clinical specialties, work with the Clinical Centre of Montenegro and every regional hospital, and operate to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards. Our market is growing — revenue has more than doubled over the past four years. We are looking for an experienced commercial director to independently lead sales across the whole Montenegrin market, from strategic planning to fieldwork.
What you'll do
Sales and client relations
- Run the full sales process — from first contact to signed contract — with public and private healthcare institutions, pharmacies, and clinics.
- Work actively in the field: visit clients, build relationships with doctors, procurement offices, and decision-makers, and personally manage key accounts.
- Present our brand portfolio to clinical staff and argue on expertise, not only price.
Tenders and public procurement
- Track tender calls, analyse the conditions, and prepare competitive bids.
- Manage tender documentation together with the company's regulatory and finance functions.
- Follow outcomes and improve the approach based on what you learn.
Strategy, market, and product
- Set the commercial strategy and sales targets, and own their delivery.
- Analyse the market — institutions' needs, competitors, and openings for new brands and products.
- Help develop and expand the portfolio: propose new products and manufacturers, and liaise with existing principals.
Who we're looking for
Experience (required)
- Proven sales experience with pharmaceutical products or medical devices.
- Understanding of the Montenegrin healthcare system, public procurement, and tender procedures is a significant advantage.
Education
- A university degree — medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, biology, or related fields.
Skills and traits
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and organisational skills.
- Independence and ownership — we want someone who builds, not someone who waits for instructions.
- Advanced English (daily communication with foreign manufacturers).
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, CRM tools).
- Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, etc.) at work is an advantage.
- Category B driving licence (fieldwork).
What we offer
- The chance to independently lead the commercial function in a growing company.
- Direct work with management and autonomy in decision-making.
- Work with a portfolio of leading global medical-device manufacturers.
- Stable, long-term employment in a company with proven growth.
